Jan Rulisek MD, Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, General University Hospital in Prague, The Czech Republic. Jan Rulisek was born in 1976 in the Czech Republic. Finished his medical studies in 2001 at Charles University, Prague. After University studies became anesthesiologist in Thomayers Hospital, Prague. In 2003 is member of the Cardiac and Vascular anesthetic team in Prague General University Hospital. In 2012 obtained European society of cardiology certificate for Perioperative transesophageal echocardiography. 2009-2010 contracted as anesthesiologist and Intensive care specialist in cardiothoracic team at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. Since 2011 is Head of ICU in General University Hospital in Prague, teaching echocardiography and chest ultrasound. In research activities is concentrated on septic cardiomyopathy, glycemic control and toxicology.
